Think Faster Focus Better

I have to admit that sometimes it really is difficult to reverse the course of a slump, somehow at times i find it just so much easier to remember all the bad things that happened in the day rather than the good. 

This negativity bias is a natural thing. 

I've learnt, as humans we are wired to always be self protective. The good news is i know ways to train the brain and now can make positive thinking a habit that works on auto. Care to find out how? My mother always told me from a very young age, that strong minds will take me far in life. I never quite understood that until much later though, but what it has meant to me is that, 

with the right mindset and tools,

we can all retrain our brain to look for the good things in life, to help us see more possibility, to feel more energy and to succeed at higher levels. Yes believe you me, you can be the master of the neuronal changes that leads to greater happiness! 

Let us imagine for awhile

what living a good life might actually be , i would assume that such a person be in good health, perhaps with glowing skin and perfect teeth? But who really going to suggest defining living a good life as the moment when you have focus and clarity on purpose. If you can arrange for your brain to pay attention in completing tasks then know that you're going to get things done! 


keep completing your tasks daily and i you're on your way to great highs. 

My point is, if you train your mind to see the good in everything i believe it will be one of the best things you can do for yourself in creating an empowering and good life. Yes it is so much easier to give in to the downward pull of negative thinking, but if you keep focus you can succeed in the choices that you make. Its just like when you train your brain to easily recognize the patterns of Tetris, you can retrain the brain to look for the good things in life.  

Tired of negative talk? 

Are you in a bad place?

Some life situations, will cause our self esteem to drop to the floor. When that happens to me i get into my dark, bad and unhappy space.. but isn't that only natural for us all?! Just be careful and make sure not to stay there too long though, because you might.. just get use to it.

No i'm not saying that its easy

because for me when i get sad i seldom want to look for the good in things , i'm saying though that we've got to snap out of it and make that choice..

put in the effort, and get ourselves whole again. 

Negative thinking is a bad habit, living your life blaming others, feeling hopeless and complaining is so yesterday's news. Remember this if you don't anything else of this post , it is your choice what you make of each and every situation. 

So yes, its time..
to stop beating yourself up and make sure to feed yourself with positive thoughts. Do not focus on the problem as it will only drain your energy. Instead, think of the solution, divert your thoughts to something positive like getting yourself out of your bad place. Small negative thoughts always end up creating large holes difficult to climb out from. Here are points i found which has helped me keep my focus.

  • Avoid negative people

These sort of people have the tendency to brush their negative attitude on you. Just being around them can bring you down too if not push you further into your bad situation.  Avoid them instantly.

  • Train your brain

We train our bodies, why not start training our minds. Mindhack, pick up a new skill, practice on improving your focus. I have found that indulging in brain activities will not only develop your mind, it can help neutralize any effects of negative situations.

  • Accept Change

The only thing constant in life is change, surely you've heard of that saying. Accepting all changes be it good or bad is part of our lives and the key to our advancement.

  • Help Others
When i am helping others out, i tend to get distracted from my own problems and any negative situations that i'm in. Helping others often translate into comfort and positive vibes which i think our souls need. Try it the next time you get on a full work train simply offer your seat to that elderly. You will find that generous person (you) feeling noble, the elderly person beaming with gratitude and spectators feel like cheering inside from witnessing a simple act of kindness.

  • No one is perfect

We need to learn from our mistakes and move forward. I've learned not to get caught up in the mistake i make and if you want to feel free, i suggest for you to do the same. You can stop dwelling on bad situations now for the simple fact that, nothing is perfect. 

  • Be Grateful

We need to truly learn that we are truly blessed no matter what the situation is. How often have you or heard a friend, family or colleague whine about a situation and once it has passed realized that indeed it was a blessing.

We all have our good and bad moments remember though that you are not alone. Seek help above all and implement whatever solution that works best for you.
